Hairstyle advise.?

I have long hair now, I don't really want to shave it off, %26amp; it keeps knotting up at the back like dreadlocks every day when I wake up, should I just make it into dreadlocks? Or what do you think? Is it OK for a white guy to have locks, considering they were around in viking times etc?

I think dreadlocks can suit a white guy but you need to know how to carry yourself out! Long hair looks sexy on a guy provided it is clean and not too long. To avoid the knots why not brush it at night and tie in a pony. Shaving your hair of just makes you blend in with the others, why not be unique!!!!!

I'm not keen on dreadlocks, why not tie it in a pony tail at night and this should stop it knotting while your asleep.

If you don't want to get the dredlocks you could put your hair up when you go to bed. Don't worry about it being girly, because no one will see it. Just make a pony tail as high up as possible and it won't tangle as bad. If you want it to be comfortable when you are laying down pull your hair into a pony tail and hold it with your hand. Then lay your head on the pillow the way you usually lay and make sure it is comfortable. Then put the holder in your hair.

its definately OKAY for you to get dreads,

however, personally, i find them unattractive.

They look messy, dirty, and it is possible to grow things such as mould inside.

You obviously must realize that my opinion may not matter,

but depending on things such as where you work, and the dress requred,

you should really anazlyze the thought of getting dreads.

another point, to take your dreads out, you MUST cut of your hair, so if you are willing to do that, then more go for it!

dreadlocks r hot on a white guy as long as ur general style goes along side them.

Go for thicker ones as the really thin ones do look better on a black guy

dreadlocks sound good, keep it long, it keeps you warm as well i look like a viking and im lovin it man ive had long hair for over 30 years i wouldnt have it any other way

I say don't shave it or do the locks (they ruin your hair). Either use a braid or pony tail at night or get it trimmed. Maybe even a hockey-player style cut. Guys with long hair are more original and not so sheep like. Kudos.

you could plait it before you go to bed, or put a pair of tights over your hair, I know this sounds freaky but I used to have really long curly hair and it saved loads of tears in the morning, the other thing you can do is put a satin pillowcase on your pillow, this stops rubbing and static forming so it doesn't knot.

Use a really good conditioner.

I personally don't like dreadlocks, but whatever floats your boat

dude if you want dreads go for it I'm half Jamaican and used to have Dreddy's but that's not the point i have loads of white mates with dreads if u cant be assed to brushed it if it keeps notting up dread it. no one should judge you if they do kick them
