Why do people REALLY grow long hair?

My philosophy is that, the only reason to grow your hair out is to, in the end, cut it off...that's how I am, anyway. My dad won't let me cut my hair (no, not even a trim), so next year, when I turn 18, I'm cutting it all off. A cute pixie cut! Then I'll grow it out mid-length and do some cool tragically dyed emo-cut, and then grow it long and wear it pretty and curled with nifty little hair pins and what-nots. Then I'll repeat, maybe changing styles every now and then, but I yearn for change!!

So my questions are these:

What's the story behind your hairstyle?

Why in the world would you want the same one for so long?

Thanks =D

Why do people REALLY grow long hair?

I never have the same hair style for long. I've relaxed my hair, permed it, dyed it and bleached it. First time I dyed my hair was in Second grade and ive never stopped. My natural color is dark brown. I've had highlights, then back brown, more highlights, dark brown with blonde bangs, black with red at the end of my bangs, black with hot pink underneath.... you name it i've done it. I cut my hair in a bob about six months ago and now its almost shoulder length. I just died it light brown and im gonna get honey blonde highlights. Now Im gonna grow it out until at least the middle of my back and continue having it golden brown and honey blonde. Then im thinkning about cutting it like kelis, the r%26amp;b artist, if you know who that is. Idk I never can decide what I want....

Why do people REALLY grow long hair?

I got a HORRIBLE haircut in February and I'm still trying to grow it out. Right now I want to grow out about six more inches , then I'll get it all evened out....then I'll grow it out some more.

The way I see it, hair is a sort of continuing cycle of problems....Wow, I'd love to get a pixie cut, but I just don't have the facial structure for it. T_T

I hope you end up happy with your hair! %26lt;3

Why do people REALLY grow long hair?

i had hair about to my boobs and it was hard to handle and manage but i loved putting it up in a messy bun. it looked so cute and i got complements all the time. well i cut it up to my ears and died the top black and the bottom blonde. i hate how short it is. my hair falls down from the pony tail and looks stupid. But i love to change it. some people never cut there hair because there really religious

1st Question:

I think my hairstyle goes with me.(I have a "leaf" layered hairstyle that stops about 3 inches below my shoulder)I don't like it all being straight because it's too plain,I don't like it short because I love to do my hair in different ways, and I don't like it long because it's hard to wash it and it's a bother really.

2nd Question:

I like it and I haven't seen any other hairstyles I really like more than this one though I'm thinking to get 1 side bangs.

Why do people REALLY grow long hair?

My hair is about medium length, a couple inches below the shoulders, with lots and lots of layers and really cool sideswept bangs, which flatter my large forehead. The shape of it just looks good on me, and I completely love the different things you can do with the haircut...plus, I can pull my hair up into a completely messy bun, and it doesn't look bad...:D

Why do people REALLY grow long hair?

cause men think it's hot

Why do people REALLY grow long hair?

just a guess, but some people grow their hair long to donate it to locks of love. cant understand why your dad wont even let you get the dead ends cut? sounds like your hair will be really cute and different after you turn 18. good luck!

Why do people REALLY grow long hair?

Believe it or not, even in todays modern world, some religions beleive that it is a sin to cut a woman's hair, basing their beliefs on where the Bible says that a woman's hair is her crown of glory. I tend to agree with you in that we grow it so we can cut it and let it grow again. Then we have those tie-died forever hippies left over from Woodstock who still want to wear daisy crowns and play in the tall grasses all day long. It was a fashion statement then and I'd venture to say it is a fashion statement now as well. Fathers forbid their daughters to cut their hair because they think long hair is the bomb and it gives them some control over their daughters that will too soon be gone forever once their all grown up. Men would soon change their minds about hair cuts for women if they were forced to deal with the hairstyling worries we often deal with daily! The men would be aggravated to pieces dealing with the how-to's of styling all that hair. It's a similar idea of the one where we think that is why God made women to have the babies. Men couldn't and wouldn't deal with all the hassles, much less the pain! LOL
