Hairstyles for curly hair?!?!?!?!?!?

i am 17 and have really curly medium length hair.

it was really long...but i cut it. anyways im half spanish and black. i want a new hairstyle for my hair. i wear it in pigtails everyday, which is pretty lame. i hate my hair but im not gonna waste time sraightening it because it doesnt work anyways.

what im looking for is a good idea to put my hair into a good style...or whatever...my hair is really frizzy...but yea any suggestions?

I have curly hair too, its tough. Either straighten it and then style it, or let those curls show, maybe use ties. straight haired people are jealous of our curls.

Go to your local hairstylist and ask for some straightning products, then get a fringe cut and part it on the side and straighten your fringe. Then put your remaining hair into a messy bun!

ooo my hairs pretty long and really curly also. I usually wear it down and to the side. Put gel in it when its wet, that will make it look wet all the time and not frizz. I use herbal essences max hold gel, it works real well. It might take a while though, when you`re styling it you need to divide it into sections [i divide mine in half from top and bottom] and clip it, gel it, then gel the other part. Don`t mess with your hair too much or it will frizz up. It looks real nice.

I also wear it to the side kinda tied. Put your head so its down like you`re tying a pony tail and grab all your hair and put the hair tye like half way through your hair and tye it a little then put your head back up and pull it down a little to the side so its like loose.

Sorry if that was hard to understand. Hair gel is the way to go with curlyhair. Then just experement.

Ohh, use alot of conditioner too for less frizzy hair. Don`t comb it when its dry, too. Its impossible anyway, lols.

wear it down. add some copper and honey highlights to bring out your features. at night, take a shower and when your hair is damp section them into small or medium size curlers. sleep in them. when you are ready to go to school remove the curlers and toss hair into desired style. also you can scrunch damp hair while diffusing it. this way your hair can be soft, sexy and bouncy with a lot of body. don't forget to spritz with anti frizz spray or serum.

O.K. first when you wash keep shampoo on scalp area only (that were it's dirty the most) and keep conditioner on ends. After conditioner is rinse while still in the shower get a wide tooth comb and detangle in the shower, when you get out just wrap the towel softly don't do too much toweling off. When you are ready to style just use a wide tooth comb and use creme or a good conditioning mouse like Paul Michelle and finger through the hair and if you have to dry use a diffuser if you don't have don't. The secret is to keep your finger of the hair so it wont frizz.

I have the same problem. My hair is curly and just under my shoulderblades in the back ( i recently got a bunch of it chopped off). When I wear it down, I pretty much put in a lot of leave in conditioner ( I usually use this nexxus kind, or else this neutrogena in an orange bottle). Then I put in mousse, being careful to get it in all of the layers of my hair. I usually part it on the side. This usually works out pretty well for me, as the products really help define my curls and make them pretty tame and soft. I am half mexican, half black, so we should have pretty similar hair types. so hopefully this helps a little.
