I have long hair and want to put this style to it. The look I'm trying to achieve looks similiar to dreadlocks but is not called dreadlocks. The hair is styled in sections, like dreads, but is twisted (like spirals) and looks teased. It basically looks like a twisted, teased mess. Does anyone know the name of this hairstyle?

noooooooooooooo. DONT ruin ur hair!!! it damages the roots and makes ur hair very dry and unruly. trust me my friend had dread locks and she had to shave her head and now she looks....well....well...uhh...lets just say not too cute
